This one-of-a-kind bird's mouth bowl is handcrafted from cedar elm, featuring a dramatic, bark-retained live edge that forms a naturally irregular, flared opening. The smooth, rounded body contrasts beautifully with the rugged rim, creating a distinctive silhouette. Warm golden tones and subtle, flowing grain patterns highlight the wood's natural beauty, while a small dark inclusion adds character to the otherwise smooth exterior.
Finished with Waterlox to enhance the cedar elm's natural color and grain while providing a durable, protective surface, this bowl is particularly well suited as a decorative vessel or standalone piece of functional art. Its sculptural form and distinctive opening make it an attractive accent for a mantel, shelf, or tabletop. This piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Alleshouse Family Studio.
