This one-of-a-kind bird's mouth bowl is handcrafted from cedar elm, featuring a bark-retained live edge that forms a naturally irregular, flared opening. The smooth, rounded body contrasts with the rugged rim, creating an elegant, sculptural silhouette. Warm golden tones and delicate, flowing grain patterns highlight the wood's natural beauty, while a distinctive knot on the exterior adds character and visual interest.
Finished with Waterlox to enhance the cedar elm's natural color and grain while providing a durable, protective surface, this bowl is ideal as a decorative vessel or standalone piece of functional art. Its compact proportions and unusual form make it particularly well suited for display on a mantel, shelf, or tabletop. This piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Alleshouse Family Studio.
