This one-of-a-kind hackberry bowl features an unusual natural grain pattern that forms two distinct heart shapes within the wood. The hearts are not carved or added; they emerged naturally as the bowl was turned, making them an inherent part of the tree and unique to this piece. Sweeping bands of darker wood flow through the lighter hackberry, creating dramatic contrast and drawing attention to the two naturally formed hearts.
The bowl's simple, rounded form keeps the focus on the exceptional grain and natural coloration. It is finished with food-safe Waterlox, which enriches the wood's contrasting tones while providing a durable finish suitable for serving and everyday use. This piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Alleshouse Family Studio.
