This one-of-a-kind vessel is hand-turned from cedar elm with a rounded, enclosed form and a dramatic live-edge opening. The original bark has been retained around the rim, creating an organic opening that contrasts with the smooth, carefully turned body. Subtle variations in the grain and natural markings give the piece character while the compact, nearly spherical form allows the live edge to remain the focal point.
Finished with Waterlox to enrich the natural color and grain of the cedar elm while providing a durable protective surface. This piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Alleshouse Family Studio.
