This one-of-a-kind oblong bowl is handcrafted from cedar elm and features a dramatic live edge that preserves the original bark and natural contour of the tree. The broad, sweeping form follows the shape of the original log, creating raised ends and an organic profile that makes the piece as sculptural as it is functional. Subtle blue epoxy accents fill and emphasize several of the wood's natural checks while allowing the cedar elm itself to remain the focal point.
Finished with Waterlox to enhance the wood's warm natural color and grain, this substantial bowl measures 13 1/2 inches wide by 4 3/4 inches tall. Its size, pronounced live edge, and distinctive form make it particularly well suited as a centerpiece, serving bowl, or standalone display piece. This piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Alleshouse Family Studio.
