This one-of-a-kind memorial urn is hand-turned from pecan, with the wood's sweeping grain, natural figure, and subtle cobalt blue accents preserved as integral parts of the piece. Its broad, low form rests on a decorative foot and is crowned with a slender hand-turned hackberry finial, ebonized to provide a striking contrast against the warm pecan. Bronze threaded rings securely join the removable finial and lid to the body.
The interior is sealed with epoxy for added protection, while the exterior is finished with Waterlox to enrich the pecan's natural color and figure. Designed as a lasting memorial for a person or beloved pet, the urn has a capacity suitable for cremated remains from an individual weighing up to approximately 260 pounds before cremation. This piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Alleshouse Family Studio.
